Author Jerry Singer visited Madame Rothschild's incredible villa with his children one day. While taking it all in, he met a fish, and curiosity struck. Tucking his kids into bed that evening, he created the beginnings of this very story.

The vocabulary in the book is vast and reminiscent of classic literature, with a few French words used throughout the text. The lessons we learn from Punch encourage us to be true to ourselves.
